FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, March 10, 2026

Washington, D.C. – Courage for Democracy PAC and its grassroots advocacy project, Citizens’ Impeachment, are thrilled to endorse more than 110 pro-impeachment Courage Candidates, including top midterm House prospects Analilia Mejía (NJ-11 Special Election), Kat Abughazaleh (IL-09), Chris Ahuja (CA-32), and Oliver Larkin (FL-23).

Courage Candidates are primary and general election candidates who have pledged to uphold their oath of office if elected, and committed to impeaching, convicting, and removing President Donald Trump at their first opportunity. The Courage Candidates represent races in 82 House districts in 33 states, as well as Senate and gubernatorial races and are looking to oust both Republican and Democratic incumbents in addition to pursuing open seats. While the majority of the candidates are running as Democrats, six are running as independents.

The Courage Candidates have had two opportunities to face voters directly. Mejía won her NJ-11 special election and is widely expected to succeed in the upcoming general election. In 7 of the 13 Courage Candidates endorsed by the PAC advanced after March 3 primaries in Arkansas, North Carolina, and Texas.  Ashley Bell (NC-10) and Jason Pearce (TX-04) won with more than 50% of the vote, and two other Texas candidates, Chelsea Hockett (TX-05) and Maureen Galindo (TX-35), will advance to their runoff election on May 26, 2026. In addition, two candidates from Texas (Evan Hunt, TX-03, Danny Minton, TX-06)  proceeded to the general election unopposed, as did Robb Ryerse (AR-03). See the full list of candidates here.

Other interesting races include: Vance Bostic (NY-08), who has stepped up to primary House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries. Three Courage Candidates each in the IL-09 and CA-34 primaries. Senate Courage Candidates Alani Bankhead (MT-Sen) and N’kiyla “Jasmine” Thomas (OK-Sen) have unexpectedly competitive races after Montana’s Sen. Daines announced his retirement and Oklahoma’s Sen. Mullin has been tapped to replace Kristi Noem as DHS Secretary.

Courage for Democracy PAC grew out of the nonpartisan, grassroots movement Citizens’ Impeachment, which united constituents from all 50 states to demand that elected lawmakers honor their oaths to defend our Constitution against all enemies, foreign or domestic.

Democratic leadership’s recent endorsement of impeachment for DHS secretary Kristi Noem does not extend to the impeachment of Donald Trump, with sitting members of Congress repeatedly insisting in constituent meetings that impeachment must wait until after the midterms.

Courage for Democracy endorses and supports pro-impeachment candidates running for office in the 2026 midterms to ensure that impeachment remains a central issue for the election. Recently, Courage Candidates have expanded their platform to include abolishing ICE.

“The Constitution provides one clear remedy against the continuous unconstitutional actions of this administration, and that remedy is impeachment,” said Keira Havens, United States Air Force veteran and Executive Director of Citizens Impeachment. “The impeachment movement is a nationwide, patriotic movement, and we’re so proud to be working with candidates who, unlike this Congress, are committed to doing their jobs if given the chance. It’s incredibly important to have these voices in every race, giving power and visibility to the very popular impeachment movement.”

“Polling shows that impeachment is a winning issue for candidates to run on, and we expect to see a number of these candidates win their races, and go on to uphold their commitments as members of Congress,” said Sarah Fite, co-founder of Courage for Democracy. “We’re thrilled that so many have joined us, and have an open invitation for any candidate who wants to join us in the 2026 midterm cycle.” (A majority of American voters have supported impeachment since April 2025, with additional polling in September 2025 indicating support for impeachment by a plurality of voters in swing districts.)
