Aisha Farooqi

Aisha Farooqi is an attorney, a former prosecutor, and union member running to represent Michigan’s 11th Congressional District.

As an attorney, she stood up for survivors of domestic violence, fought against corrupt landlords, and kept our communities safe while giving young people the second chances they deserved. Recently, Aisha was appointed by Governor Whitmer to the Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Board.

A daughter of immigrants who lived under an authoritarian regime, Aisha understands how fragile democracy is. She’s running to defend our freedoms, fight the affordability crisis, protect reproductive rights, and build a government that works for the American people, not corporations and special interest groups.
