Ashley WolfTornabane

Ashley WolfTornabane is a lifelong Iowan who believes in a Happier, Healthier America. She lives in Iowa’s reddest congressional district, where it’s common to drive past abandoned farmhouses because legislation has favored corporate farming over small and mid-sized family farms. Rural communities are crumbling due to the loss of these local farm economies and chronic public school underfunding, which results in school consolidations. Rural healthcare facilities are cutting services or closing. Those in the 4th District have watched this happen under Republican representatives for almost forty years. It’s time for a change.

Ashley is running for US House because she wants to help people and sees federal office as an efficient way to help a lot of people all at once. She envisions a future with a better status quo, where people are able to go to the doctor when they need to, are able to earn living wages, and are able to trust our political system because we’ve weeded out the corruption. Ashley believes that it’s only after we’ve secured this new and better “normal” that we Americans will really have the inalienable rights listed in the Declaration of Independence: life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
