Texas Courage Candidate Jason Pearce District TX-04

Jason Pearce

Texas
House
TX-04

Jason Pearce started his first job at 12, shoveling stables at a horse farm. His first paid job was at 14, making $4.25 an hour at an ice cream parlor. That was when Jason’s dad had his first heart attack, and his family went bankrupt.

He tried to save for college, but had to drop out because he could not afford it. He had also grown up with a social phobia that got worse in college. Jason would throw up every day before school since he was 13 because he was afraid to pass people in the halls. So he started a career in sales to force himself to speak to hundreds of people a day.

Jason spent lunch breaks having anxiety attacks and watching videos on how to speak to people. He worked minimum wage, commission only, two jobs, 90 hour weeks, and night shifts. Anywhere from retail to call centers and restaurants. He had to choose between rent, food, and healthcare many times.

At 25, his fears had disappeared and he started a job in the mortgage industry. He broke four national records in his first five days, and the SVP promoted him on the spot. He became federally licensed to sell mortgages as a loan officer in 20 states. He then became a stock and crypto trader for two years. Then Jason became a security supervisor for the Dallas Cowboys. He studied hard and got licensed as an insurance advisor. He was on his way to management, and then the election happened.

Jason quit his job in late 2025 to run full time, and is using the money he had saved to buy a house to campaign instead.
