Jessica Salas
Jessica Salas is a grassroots, working-class candidate running for Congress in Oregon’s 3rd District. She is not a career politician. With nearly two decades in the service and hospitality sector—jobs without safety nets, stable schedules, or health insurance—she knows the realities people in this district face. Her lived experience drives her values and motivations.
Jessica has organized alongside her community, supporting immigrant families, small businesses, and workers when systems failed them. During emergencies, she was on the ground—helping people navigate fear, displacement, and injustice as institutions turned a blind eye. For her, advocacy is about results.
As the founder of Hasta La Raíz, an International grassroots collaboration, she has raised funds and built solidarity for immigrant support efforts through community partnerships. Her work shows a belief that power comes not just from Washington, but from people organizing together.
Jessica is running for Congress because Oregon deserves accountable, courageous leadership. She stands up to established structures and believes the government should serve working people, protect rights, and stay under public scrutiny. Her campaign centers on integrity, transparency, and the principle that power begins with us.
