Julian Arellano

Julian Arellano is a San Diego native from North County Oceanside running as an Democratic candidate for U.S. Congress in California’s 49th District. Coming from humble beginnings, Arellano is not a career politician and centers his campaign on representing everyday Americans—particularly Latino communities, young people, and other under-represented voices. He believes Congress should better reflect the diversity of the nation and advocates for greater civic engagement and voter participation.

Arellano’s platform emphasizes equity, inclusion, and democratic reform, with a focus on creating opportunity for future generations. He supports policies that strengthen immigration reform, protect women’s rights, and expand economic opportunity while holding government accountable to the people it serves.
