Kevin Ryan

Kevin is a pro-peace veteran and public school teacher running to take money out of politics and put it into the working class. He has served on the frontlines of public education and understands how Medicare for All, universal childcare, affordable housing, and fully funded education can fundamentally transform our society. But in order to do these things, he believes we must first end the corrupting influence of money in politics.
Kevin is walking the walk on campaign finance. Instead of raising and spending millions of dollars on ads, Kevin is raising only what he needs to canvass the state in a converted school bus to meet voters where they live and work. He is the only candidate to have visited all 102 counties in Illinois and he has reached over 5 million people on social media without spending a dollar. “When your message sells itself,” he says, “You don’t need to buy ads.”
Kevin is a New Deal Democrat from a new generation, ready to meet this moment.
