Liban Mohamed
Liban Mohamed is a Utah-born public policy professional, organizer, and the son of Somali immigrants running to build a new generation of leadership grounded in courage, justice, and community.
After working in public policy at TikTok and Meta, Liban resigned from Big Tech in protest of media consolidation and the growing power corporations hold over public discourse and everyday life. He has since become one of the country’s strongest voices for holding corporate power accountable, calling for bold environmental protections, stronger digital privacy rights, and a prohibition on hyperscale data center development in water-stressed regions like Utah.
Before tech, Liban helped lead successful public health and equity initiatives with the American Heart Association, including expanding postpartum Medicaid coverage and increasing CPR training access in schools and emergency systems.
His grassroots movement has mobilized hundreds of first-time participants into the political process, especially from refugee, immigrant, and working-class communities.
Liban represents a new generation unafraid to challenge the status quo and fight for people over profits.
