N’Kiyla “Jasmine” Thomas
N’Kiyla “Jasmine” Thomas is a nurse, military spouse, mother to a Level 2 autistic son, and a Black, White, and Chickasaw woman running for the United States Senate in Oklahoma to restore accountability, constitutional integrity, and real representation to a seat long dominated by political insiders.
Born and raised in Ardmore, Jasmine built her career serving families who navigate the margins of our healthcare and social systems — Medicaid patients, domestic violence survivors, disabled children, rural residents, and working-class households struggling to meet basic needs. As a nurse and as the mother of an autistic child, she has seen firsthand how corruption, negligence, and special-interest influence create real harm in emergency rooms, classrooms, and communities statewide.
Her lived experience has shaped her into a fierce advocate for accountability and reform. Jasmine understands what broken systems look like from the inside — and she is running to fix them. She champions transparent governance, constitutional checks and balances, protections for vulnerable populations, stronger oversight of public institutions, and a government that does not serve corporations or political machines, but the people.
Jasmine is running a 100% grassroots, people-powered campaign, refusing corporate PAC money and rejecting the influence of entrenched political networks. Her commitment is to Oklahomans — especially those who have historically been silenced or overlooked.
If elected, Jasmine would become the first woman, first Black woman, first Native woman, and first multiracial woman ever elected to the U.S. Senate from Oklahoma, bringing a voice shaped by motherhood, service, and a heritage rooted in resilience.
She is not running to join the establishment — she is running to hold it accountable, challenge the culture of political impunity, and build a government that finally reflects the people it claims to serve.
