Oliver Larkin

Oliver Larkin is running for congress because our communities are under attack by a fascist Republican party, and too many corporate Democrats are unwilling to stand up and fight back. South Florida deserves a Representative who will take on the oligarchy, not one who accepts hundreds of thousands of dollars from corporate PACs and joins Elon Musk’s DOGE. We deserve better than a Democrat who votes to expand ICE’s capacity to terrorize our communities.

In 2015, Oliver quit his job as a minimum wage line cook to drive to New Hampshire to volunteer for Bernie Sanders’ presidential campaign. He was quickly hired as a staffer and went around the country talking to people about the need to take on the billionaire class and fight for Medicare for All, raising the minimum wage, and ending Citizens United. When Oliver and his coworkers were being exploited by their bosses, he helped lead a unionization drive with the Communication Workers of America.

We are experiencing a crisis of democracy, but it will not be enough to go back to the status quo before Trump, we need to expand our vision of democracy. His priorities are Medicare for All, $25 minimum wage, abolishing ICE, and winning the battle for democracy.
