California Courage Candidate Sarah Bacon CA-24

Sarah Bacon

California
House
CA-24

Sarah Bacon is a Central Coast native who walked away from a twenty-year career as a tech executive in B2B software because she realized she was spending her one life making wealthy people wealthier. Now she’s running for Congress.

A graduate student at UC Santa Barbara studying Christian nationalism, tech elites, and democratic erosion, Sarah also serves as the elected Vice President of External Affairs for the UCSB Graduate Student Association, representing over 63,000 UC graduate students in state and federal advocacy.

Sarah participated in the UCSB encampment in spring 2024, is a member of the UCSB Police Accountability Board, and has given public comment on civil rights, the cost of silence, against the IHRA definition of antisemitism, and Sheriff collaboration with ICE.

Sarah is running on a platform of anti-corruption, democratic reform, tech accountability, and progressive policy, with a focus on lowering costs, defending rights, and getting big money out of politics. She accepts no corporate PAC money, no fossil fuel money, and no AIPAC contributions. If elected, she would join the Congressional Progressive Caucus.

Sarah believes that fixing broken systems is the work she was made for, and that this moment demands moral clarity and urgent action.
