Terry Jackson

Terry Jackson is a grassroots Democratic candidate for Congress in Maryland’s 5th District and a Navy veteran with firsthand experience in public service and federal government operations. He is running on a platform centered on restoring trust in government through accountability, transparency, and respect for the rule of law.

After serving his country in uniform, Terry continued his commitment to public service as a federal employee, where he saw how failures in leadership, oversight, and accountability directly affect everyday Americans. Those experiences shaped his belief that the government must work for the people—not shield the powerful.

Terry believes that before Congress can do any meaningful legislative work, it must first reclaim its constitutional power and authority. He argues that Congress must actively use its oversight responsibilities to enforce accountability, compel transparency, and restore the balance between the legislative and executive branches.

A strong advocate for constitutional accountability and democratic norms, Terry supports impeachment as a necessary tool to uphold the Constitution and ensure that no one, including a president, is above the law. That commitment led him to join the Citizens Impeachment Coalition.

He is running for Congress to bring principled leadership, courage, and integrity back to government—and to prove that accountability and public trust are democratic necessities, not partisan choices.
