Washington, D.C. – Courage for Democracy PAC and its grassroots advocacy project, Citizens’ Impeachment, saw major primary wins this week in the reddest and bluest districts in the nation. Democratic Socialist Chris Rabb will advance to the general in Pennsylvania’s 3rd district, the most Democratic congressional district in the US (D+40). In Alabama’s 4th, America’s most Republican-leaning congressional district (R+33), Courage Candidate Amanda Pusczek won her primary with two thirds of the vote. Megan Wingfield, a local organizer in Kentucky’s 2nd congressional district, also won her primary. In GA-07, Case Norton, a union camera technician and small business owner, advances to a runoff.

“Courage Candidates show up to the fight, wherever it is. The corruption on display from this administration each and every day is egregious, and Americans everywhere want representatives that will fight for them,” said Keira Havens, co-founder of Courage for Democracy. “So far, this Congress refuses to act. The Courage Candidates are stepping up to replace them.”

Courage Candidates are primary and general election candidates who have pledged to uphold their oath of office if elected. They have committed to impeaching, convicting, and removing President Donald Trump at their first opportunity. There are more than 100 pro-impeachment, pro-democracy Courage Candidates running for congressional office in 38 states, as well as Senate and gubernatorial races. The candidates are looking to oust both Republican and Democratic incumbents in addition to pursuing open seats. While the majority of the candidates are running as Democrats, six are running as independents.

In addition to Alabama, Pennsylvania, and Kentucky, Courage Candidates will be on the ballot in the November general election in Arkansas (Robb Ryerse, AR-03), Illinois (Julie Fortier, IL-12), North Carolina (Ashley Bell, NC-10),  and Texas (Evan Hunt, TX-03, Jason Pearce, TX-04, and Danny Minton, TX-06).

Sarah Fite, Courage for Democracy co-founder, said, “The Democratic establishment is ignoring these races because they lean conservative. But we aren’t afraid of a fight and we know that the only way you change the conversation is by showing up. The Courage Candidates are bringing a new vision to people and winning.”

This week’s announcement of a $1.776 billion ‘anti-weaponization’ fund for Trump, in exchange for dropping his already-corrupt lawsuit against the Department of Justice, has renewed talk of impeachment from establishment figures like Rep. Dan Goldman. It’s even drawn condemnation from Republican leadership like Sen. Majority Leader Thune.

A majority of American voters have supported impeachment since April 2025. Additional polling from September 2025 indicates support for impeachment by a plurality of voters in swing districts. “The American people have been pushing for accountability for more than a year now. Congress must listen to them and impeach – or lose their seat to the Courage Candidates” said Havens.
